Now for all those of you who still had doubts regarding the health of our beloved Superstar, here is solid proof that all is well with the most sought after man in Kollywood.

What you see here is a snapshot of the Superstar with his daughter Aishwarya Dhanush, which was captured recently. This picture has been clicked recently and we can be positive that the Superstar has been responding well to the treatment as claimed by the medicos as well as his close family members.

The perturbed fans over the days have been offering prayers incessantly at temples and prayer halls throughout the state for their icon’s speedy recovery and with the prayers and goodwill of millions of fans across the globe the superstar is slowly but surely regaining his health.

Meanwhile the stars of Kollywood are doing their share of prayers for the superstar’s recovery. Actor-choreographer Lawrence Ragavendra is organizing a mass prayer at the Ragavendra Temple in Thirumulaivoyal near Ambattur tomorrow (May 22, 2011) from 6.30 AM for the superstar to recoup soon. The prayer will be attended by the Nadigar Sangam president Sarath Kumar and Prabhu, along with many other stars, who will join the group to pray for the ‘Enthiran’ star. There will be ‘annadhanam’ after the prayer at noon.

More updates on Mankatha release

With just a couple of days left for the single track album of ‘Mankatha’ to hit audio stores, ‘Thala’ fans have some more good news. Yes, the audio launch of complete track is scheduled to be launched by second week of June as Sony BMG affirms it.
As known earlier, the album has nine tracks that include a club mix of a track and signature music of ‘Mankatha’. Meanwhile, the pre-order sales of the single track album are doing good business as it includes some special offers.
Closer sources to Cloud Nine Movies have revealed that the producers are planning to release the film by July. It is worth mentioning that there are some more big tickets ‘Deiva Thirumagal, ‘Avan Ivan’ and ‘Velayudham’ scheduled for release in June and July.

Mankatha’s spectacular solo number

Vilayadu Mankatha is the single track that has been released for Mankatha and it is expected to be a rage among the youngsters. The lyrics are by Gangai Amaren and choreography has been done by Kalyan. 

This is the fourth time Venkat Prabhu and Yuvan Shankar Raja are collaborating together and the cousins are confident that Mankatha will be the hit album of the year. The buzz surrounding Mankatha is huge since it will be Thala’s 50th film.Venkat Prabhu says that Vilayadu Mankatha is going to be the youth anthem of the Year.

Ajith Dual role in Mangatha - double treat

A surprise element in Ajith’s Mankatha has been unwrapped. Sources reveal that Ajith will portray a dual role in Mankatha. Thala will play a tough cop in the film, the other character would be that of a commoner.
It may be noted that Mankatha is Ajith’s next to be released movie. The music is scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The film is directed by Venkat Prabhu and produced by Dhayanidhi Alagiri.

Mankatha music release on May 20

The 40secs teaser of ‘Vilayaadu Mankatha’ was more than enough to keep the expectation levels higher. Venkat Prabhu and producers of the film had initially planned to release this single-track album on May 1 for the occasion of Ajith Kumar’s birthday and postponed it later. Now we hear it from the closer sources that Sony BMG has decided to launch the audio on May 20.

The single CD track ‘Vilayaadu Mankatha’ is tagged with a price of Rs. 49/- with posters autographed by Ajith Kumar. The song is crooned by Yuvan Shankar Raja, Ranjith, Premgi Amaran, Anita and Suchitra.

Since the song is set in backdrops of a Club, Yuvan has tried working out lyrics with a mix of Tamil, Hindi and English. Gangai Amaran has penned Tamil lyrics while Yuvan on English and Hindi lines by Suchitra.

Ajith plays Cop in ‘Mankatha’?

‘Thala’ fans across the globe are looking forward to ‘Mankatha.’ We have given you many first information reports on this Venkat Prabhu offing. The ‘Vilayadu Mankatha…’ song which was released on the eve of Thala’s birthday has upped expectations for the film many-fold. Ajith looks his usual handsome self and the dance moves appearing in the teaser video looks fantastic.

We came across an on-location photo of Ajith in ‘Mankatha’ and guess what? The actor was clad in a police officer’s costume! What we have heard so far is that Ajith’s character Vinayak Mahadevan in the film has grey shades and this is the first film where Ajith is shown in an out and out negative role without any flashbacks to substantiate for his wrong doings.

But with the release of this still picture expectations have soared higher. Will Ajith be a cop who has taken the bad boy’s role to unearth the evil forces? Or is he a police officer with negative traits? Or is he dressed like this to take the cops for a ride? These are the many questions that have popped up into our minds after seeing this still photo.

‘Mankatha’ is a multi-starrer film with Arjun, Trisha, Lakshmi Rai, Andrea and many more actors donning various roles with credibility to carry the movie forward. The music for the film is by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The director has planned to launch the single track ‘Vilayadu Mankatha…’ shortly.

‘Mankatha’ story: Official version

Even as the media working overtime guessing the story of ‘Mankatha’, Ajith’s 50th venture, director of the film Venkat Prabhu has come out with an explanation on what the movie is all about.

“Yes, the basic knot of the script is gambling. But it is not true that the film revolves entirely on cricket betting. It will deal about all sorts of gambling that are taking place,” said the filmmaker.

On the role played by Arjun in the film, he said, “Since he is playing a cop who is behind Ajith, the scenes in which he appear will be the highlight of the film. In one particular scene, Ajith would call him Action King.”

Happy about the Thala dissolving all his fan clubs, Venkat Prabhu said, “It is a very good and bold decision. He will now be admired by fans of all actors. Thala is always straight forward and honest.”
